Great service from the guys here. They were very helpful in finding me a cycle helmet and fitting it. Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable as well as good prices. Very pleased!

Owner's reply
Thank you for your kind review Helen. While having a correctly fitted helmet may seem a small thing, we wish everyone would wear a safety helmet and reduce the number of injuries on the road.
We always keep a good stock of helmets and as you rightly said a correctly fitted one is essential, which is one of the reasons we keep our prices very competitive because our customers safety is more important than us making a lot of profit.

Absolutley fantastic service from bike tykes. Took my road bike in for major repairs, I didnt have faith they would be able to fix some parts due to the age of my bike but to my suprise they found each part whether it was online or local, they did everything to ensure they could fix it and they did.
I can't express enough how satisfied i am with the service.
Most of all, price. The amount of work i knew it needed worried me on the price but in total, absolutley affordable.
100% will be using Bike Tykes again in the future

Owner's reply
Thank you Benjamin for a great review. It was a pleasure to help you with your bike and unlike many other bike shops we will always take on a challenge. Parts for some bikes are difficult to get but we will always do our best and try to keep our prices competitive.

Biketyke's customer service is second to none. We visited this shop to buy an e-bike for my wife. Irvin, Paul and Shane took time to understand my wife's requirements, adapted an Oxygen bike accordingly, arranged test rides, and adapted it again. My wife is very pleased with the result. Thank you very much.

Owner's reply
Thanks John for your kind review. We are so pleased that your wife is delighted with her new Oxygen electric bike. Whereever we can we always make sure that the bike you buy is right for you, because we never sell bikes, customers buy bikes because the are happy and comfortable with them.

I've visited Bike Tyke a few times over the past couple of months, and each time I've been very impressed. Nothing is too much trouble; all the staff are helpful, approachable, and highly knowledgeable.

I recently left my retro MTB with them for a few jobs that were beyond my skill level. The work was completed to a high standard, with a quick turnaround and at an affordable price.

I would not hesitate to recommend them and would advise anyone to visit here first before considering any other bike shops in Barnsley.

Owner's reply
Chris, what a nice review. Yes our staff can be a pain in the neck, or lower at times, but they do love their jobs and love looking after our customers. We have an old fashioned attitude at Biketyke that the customer is the most important person in the world, because without you we wouldn`t have a business.

Good service. Good prices. Friendly. Knowledgeable. What more could I ask for, a choc ice? I'll ask for one next time I go in. I've taken my bikes to Biketyke for 5 years. My current bike is an e-bike. These guys know what they are doing and I trust my bikes with them and so should you.

Owner's reply
Hi Lee, sorry about the choc ice, it`s just that Irvin won`t buy them so we can keep our prices low, but really happy you are delighted with our service and prices.

Took my lads electric bike in for repair what a mistake that was ......
Over 3 weeks they had the bike when it was ready to be collected NO front wheel it had been lost whilst in the shop then for them to charge my son for a new wheel , NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!

Owner's reply
Mr Phillips your sons bike arrived without a front wheel. You brought a bike into us for repair that we did not supply. While we always try to turn around service jobs, this can only be done when replacement parts are available from the supplier. We tried emailing the supplier as well as making numerous phone calls with no response, as you are well aware because we kept your son informed during the time we had his bike.
We even had to re-engineer some parts so that your son could have his bike back and as you will be aware no other bike shop in the area would even attempt this. In short we feel that your comments are unjustified because we did everything possible to rectify the problems, the fact that the supplier did not reply to our calls and emails is beyond our control.

Brilliant service by Bike Tyke. My sons Radley mmbop was up and running in no time and better than its been for a long time. The blokes in the shop know their bikes. I’d give 6 stars if I could.

Owner's reply
Thanks Adrian, we will ask Google to make an exception so that you can give us 6 stars, but don`t hold your breath. we are just delighted that your sons bike is now up and running and he is enjoying it again.
